ONIC Esports continues its achievements in esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang after taking the 2022 MPL Invitational (MPLI) tournament’s title, defeating Geek Fam ID who stole the tournament’s spotlight with a fierce 3-2 score.

ONIC Esports as the winner of MPL ID Season 10 has the right to determine the bracket and at the same time ensure a place in the Quarter Finals. There, ONIC Esports beat BREN Esports, the M2 World Championship champion, with a  2-1 score. 

Advancing to the semifinals, they continued to show their superiority by defeating Todak from MPL MY with a landslide of 2-0. In the Grand Finals, ONIC Esports faced Geek Fam ID which surprisingly was able to reach the top round. 

Both teams successfully presented exciting battles, even though the difference between ONIC Esports (#1) and Geek Fam ID (#8) in the MPL ID S10 Regular Season was like heaven and earth. But, it was then. It seems that Geek Fam ID has gone through a big change after MPL ID S10.

They managed to steal the first 2 games of the BO5 Series from ONIC Esports! This, of course, made them stand out more. Unfortunately, ONIC Esports showed everyone why they are the current champion of MPL ID. Yup, they made an epic comeback from 0-2 to 3-2!

On the other hand, no one was able to predict that Geek Fam ID was able to reach that point. After welcoming Baloyskie a few months ago, the team has gone through a big evolution which we could see in 2022 MPLI.

Being in the top bracket, Geek Fam ID managed to send home RRQ Sena and Orange Esports to secure a place in the Quarter Finals against Blacklist International. Against the champion of MPL PH, Like David vs Goliath, Geek Fam ID slaughtered Blacklist International with an end score of  2-0.

Their struggle didn’t end there, because they also had to fight RSG PH, the MSC 2022 Champ. Amazingly, Geek Fam ID once again managed to beat another big team, securing their place in the Grand Finals. What do you guys think about Geek Fam ID performance?
