Who We Are

UniPin is a Digital Content Enabler that focuses only on online games and digital products across the world. It is our mission to offer seamless payment experiences at every level for the users and partners within the ecosystem, and to do so we collect and use Personal Information that you provide.

For global operations, the Personal Information we collect may also include transaction ID, order history, payment token or masked card details, billing descriptor, billing address, country or region, tax information, fraud or risk scores, device fingerprint, login records, authentication logs, customer support records, complaint records, marketing preferences, cookie identifiers, consent records, publisher account identifiers, proof of identity or KYC documents where required, and records needed for sanctions, AML, chargeback, dispute and regulatory compliance.

For the purposes of this Policy, the relevant UniPin entity that determines how and why your Personal Information is collected, used and processed will act as the data controller, unless otherwise stated. Where a transaction is processed or fulfilled by a specific UniPin entity, that entity may act as the data controller for Personal Information processed in connection with that transaction.

The UniPin entity that determines the purposes and means of processing your Personal Information will act as the data controller for that processing. Where another UniPin entity, payment partner, publisher or service provider processes Personal Information on our behalf, that party may act as processor or service provider. Where required by UK or EU law, UniPin will identify its UK/EU representative and Privacy Officer or privacy contact in this Privacy Policy.

UniPin has appointed a Privacy Officer to assist with questions, requests, and complaints relating to this Privacy Policy and the collection, use and processing of your Personal Information. If UniPin appoints a Data Protection Officer in a jurisdiction where such appointment is required, the relevant contact details will be made available in this Privacy Policy or through the contact channels stated below. The Contact Us page will display the legal name, registered address, company registration number, country of establishment, customer support email, local and internationally accessible telephone number where international services are offered, and escalation channel for complaints, privacy requests, illegal activity reports and payment disputes where required or appropriate.


Personal Information We Collect

When you participate in, access or sign up to any of UniPin’s services, activities or online content (including on social media and messaging applications), such as newsletters, promotions, live chats, message boards, web and mobile notifications or votes, we may receive about you (“Personal Information”),

Depending on your use of our Platform, we will use your personal information for a number of purposes including:

  • To provide our services, activities or online content, or communicating information about them (e.g. relating to contests, promotions, surveys or other site features) or dealing with your requests and enquiries.
  • To manage payments and provide credit or vouchers for online gameplay provided by 3rd party content publishers.
  • To personalise your experience and provide you with better ways of accessing information from our Platform.
  • For service administration, which means that we may contact you for reasons related to the service, activity or online content you have signed up for.

  3. where processing is necessary for UniPin’s legitimate business interests, including fraud prevention, platform security, service improvement, analytics, dispute handling, enforcement of our terms, business administration and protecting the rights, property and safety of UniPin, users, partners and the public, provided that such interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  4. where you have given us consent, including for certain marketing communications, non-essential cookies or similar technologies, or other processing activities where consent is required by applicable law. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before your withdrawal.
  5. where processing is necessary to protect vital interests or where we are required or permitted to process Personal Information in the public interest under applicable law.

You do not have to provide all Personal Information requested by UniPin. However, if you chose not to provide Personal Information that is necessary for us to provide the Platform, process your transaction, deliver UniPin Products, comply with legal requirements or respond to your request, we may not be able to provide the relevant services, complete your transaction, or respond to your request.

Where we rely on your consent to process Personal Information for specific purposes, but you have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before your withdrawal.


Specific Data Use

To fully access the Platform, you, as a user, may voluntarily register for an account by completing a registration form. Certain data is collected during this process, including your name and email address. This data is used to contact you, suggest appropriate products and services, and improve your user experience. To place an order, as a registered user or guest, you must provide contact information (such as name, phone number, and email address) and payment-related information, such as payment method, payment channel, transaction details, payment status, masked card details, payment identifiers or other information required to process the transaction. Full credit or debit card numbers and card expiry details may be collected and processed directly by the relevant payment channel or payment service provider, where applicable. This data is used for billing and to fulfill your order. If there are issues with the order, we may use this information to contact you.


Marketing Communications

We will obtain consent where required for direct marketing, electronic marketing, cookies, push notifications, SMS, WhatsApp or similar messages. You may opt out at any time through unsubscribe links, account settings, device settings or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing will not stop transactional or service messages relating to your account, purchases, security, delivery, refunds or legal notices.

Where required by applicable law , we will obtain your consent before sending direct marketing communications or before sharing your Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may process Personal Information without further notice or consent where such processing is required or permitted by applicable law. We may also use anonymised or pseudonymised or aggregated information for analytics, reporting, service improvement and business purposes, provided that such information no longer identifies you or can reasonably be linked back to you as an individual so it is no longer associated with the user.


How We Share Your Personal Information

We may share Personal Information with UniPin affiliates, game publishers, payment processors, acquiring banks, card networks, fraud prevention providers, KYC/KYB providers, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tools, professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement agencies and dispute resolution bodies where necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to appropriate contractual, security and data protection safeguards.

Where third-party service providers process Personal Information on our behalf, we require them to implement appropriate confidentiality, access control, data-protection and security measures, and to process Personal Information only for authorised purposes and in accordance with applicable contractual obligations. UniPin does not sell your Personal Information. We do not share your account information, purchase details, contact details, identity information or transaction records with advertising networks for their own independent use. Where we conduct marketing activities, contests, promotions or campaigns with third parties, we will share Personal Information only where you have provided consent, where the sharing is necessary to administer the relevant campaign or promotion, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

We may share Personal Information with UniPin affiliates, group companies and business partners where necessary for internal administration, service delivery, customer support, compliance, reporting, audit, security, fraud prevention or other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. If UniPin is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, asset sale, business transfer or other corporate transaction, we may share or transfer Personal Information to the relevant successor, purchaser, transferee or adviser, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection safeguards.

Where We Process Your Personal Information

Your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored in or accessed from countries outside your country of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where required, UniPin will use appropriate transfer safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, international data transfer agreements, transfer risk assessments, contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Customer Data is used as a unique identifier of the customer identity eligible for credit top up for the Game Publisher and as a mandatory requirement for Payment Channel* payment processing.

Transaction data gathered are used to capture evidence of successful transaction for the purpose of compliance requirement, accounting and audit and regulatory reporting.

How Long We Store Your Personal Information

Retention periods will be determined by data category, including account data, transaction records, tax and accounting records, fraud and security logs, KYC records, dispute and chargeback records, marketing consent records, cookie data and customer support records. UniPin will retain Personal Information only as long as necessary for service delivery, legal compliance, dispute handling, security, fraud prevention, audit, accounting, tax and legitimate business purposes, then delete, anonymise or securely archive it.

We will only retain Personal Information for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Personal Information may also be retained for longer periods if it is solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes, or statistical purposes.

Your Personal Information will be retained for as long as is necessary to fulfil or complete the purpose for which it was collected and until it is no longer necessary for any other legal or business purposes. Thereafter, we dispose of your Personal Information in a manner that prevents further access or processing, including but not limited to deletion or irreversible anonymisation.

UniPin makes reasonable efforts to safeguard your Personal Information, to protect against loss, misuse, modification, unauthorised or accidental access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. UniPin does not sell Personal Information. UniPin does not share your account information, purchase details, contact details, identity information or transaction records with advertising networks for their own independent use. However, UniPin may use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs and similar technologies provided by third-party analytics or advertising partners to collect or receive limited technical and online usage information, such as cookie identifiers, device identifiers, browser information, IP address, pages viewed, access times and interactions with the Platform.

Where required by applicable law, UniPin will recognise valid user-enabled global privacy controls, such as Global Privacy Control, as an opt-out request for the browser or device through which the signal is sent.

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. However, please note that if your Personal Information is removed or you withdraw your consent for any of the purposes stated above, depending on the nature of your request, we may not be in a position to continue providing UniPin services to you, or process and complete the transactions you wish to make on our Platform.
