The 2023 CS:GO Major Will Be in Paris!

BLAST Premier surprisingly announced that they will be holding a CS:GO Major in Paris, France. This, of course, received a very positive response from netizens all over the world.

French President, Emmanuel Macron, directly confirmed the news via his personal Twitter Account where he was happy to hold the CS:GO Major in his country. This event will take place in May 2023 and it will be the first ever CS:GO Major in France.

CS:GO Major never escapes from being spectacular and massive. Almost all CS:GO fans in the world dream of watching the CS:GO Major live. The vibe and ambience presented by Valve as the developer of this game is never disappointing.

A lot of memorable and unique moments happened in the CS:GO Major, like how the underdog team defeated the previous Major winning team, to CS:GO fans who accidentally opened a CS:GO crate at the CS:GO tournament venue during the tournament.

The BLAST.tv Major will join other sports that France will host in 2023 and beyond, including the 2023 Rugby World Cup, 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, and the 2025 Rugby League World Cup.

Some of the biggest factors in getting a major esports event to take place in a particular location is usually because one country/city has a huge venue where it can be held at a reasonable cost.

Paris is one of the locations which fulfilled the requirements. Meaning, France can also be the host of a lot of other esports international tournaments such as The International and League of Legends World Championship. It’s so exciting to see how esports keeps on expanding every year!
