Bad news came from the competitive scene of Apex Legends Indonesia. Dewa United, who represented Indonesia for the Split 1 ALGS (Apex Legends Global Series) Playoffs, announced that he was canceling his participation in the event which was held in London due to visa issues.
This was announced by Dewa United Esports via a post on their official Instagram account. Dewa United confirmed that they will not be able to participate in the playoff phase of the ALGS Split 1 event which will be held in London from 2-5 February 2023.
It was explained from the post that the visas for the players and officials from Dewa United Esports were refused by the British Government. As a result of this, of course it will affect Dewa United Esports' points gain to be able to advance to the 2023 Championship.
Dewa United Esports does have an Apex Legends division, which previously played in the 2022 ALGS Split. Dewa United managed to qualify for the ALGS Split 1 playoffs because they managed to rank third in the ALGS 2023 Split 1 Pro League - APAC South.
The management of Dewa United Esports hopes that in the future they can participate again in the upcoming ALGS Split 2 2023 so they can catch up on points. With the failure of Dewa United Esports to participate in the ALGS Split 1 London Playoffs, only ONIC Esports left Indonesia's representative in the event.
Dewa United Esports' management also revealed that they had made various efforts so that their team could participate, but unfortunately their efforts still failed. Dewa United Esports also thanked PBESI and IESPA who have tried to help their departure process optimally, even though in the end they had to cancel their flight.
Well, keep up the enthusiasm for Dewa United Esports! Hopefully they can be fierce again in ALGS Split 2 2023. Thank you to the management of Dewa United Esports, PBESI, and IESPA who have fought for this opportunity until the end. Let's reply with achievements on another occasion, yeah!
