MPL Invitational (MPLI) tournament is coming soon, and the eight participating teams from Indonesia have released their roster list. Interestingly, there are many famous names that will be absent in this tournament.

The tournament format that will be used this time is the same as last year. Indonesia will be the team with the highest number of teams with 8 teams, followed by the Philippines (6 teams), Malaysia (3 teams), Singapore (2 teams), and Cambodia (1 team).

From the list above, there are some interesting things to discuss. For example, RRQ Hoshi decided not to participate because they most likely wanted to focus on the 2022 Esports President Cup.

This is understandable because the winner of the tournament will get a ticket to represent Indonesia at the IESF 14th World Esports Championship 2022 in Bali, Indonesia.

There are also several teams that seem to rest their players. Examples are Alter Ego which did not include Celiboy who was replaced by Kids, and ONIC Esports which did not include Kiboy. Lastly and quite surprisingly, EVOS Legends did not include Dlar in the main team again.

MPLI 2022 will be held from 2 to 6 November 2022 and will be held online. The winners of the four MPL tournaments will have the right to determine this season's bracket. They are ONIC Esports, Blacklist International, RSG SG, and Team HAQ.
