PUBG Mobile has announced its newest collaboration with one of the most popular animated series from Malaysia, Boboiboy. It was first teased via the game’s official social media, then followed by an official YouTube video.
Previously, Boboiboy's official Twitter account also gave a leak about this collaboration, where it will feature two main heroes from the animated series, namely Boboiboy and Fang. In addition, like the rumour stated, there will be several accessories such as clothing sets that will also complete this special collaboration.
From the video, it has been confirmed that the new cosmetics are Boboiboy and Fang costume sets. The PUBG Mobile x Boboiboy is currently scheduled to launch on October 10. So, don’t forget to save the date.
Also, it seems that they will add a new mode which is specially designed for the collaboration. If you look at the beginning of the trailer, there is a map that displays every element from the Boboiboy series.
Upon arriving at the area, players will scramble to get each of those elements. So, maybe the new mode will compete for elements and the player who collects the most will win. Do note that this is just our impression and may not be true at all.
The Boboiboy animated series itself is one of the popular animation productions from Monsta Studio in Malaysia. Through this collaboration, we can see that the Studio is trying to expand its market not only in the form of animation but also in games.
On the other hand, this isn’t PUBG Mobile's first collaboration with an animation. Previously, PUBG Mobile had collaborated with Japanese animated series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Evangelion, which was pretty successful.
