Valorant Ladies Player Gruesomely Death in Turkey Earthquake Incident

The esports world is mourning after the sad news of the devastating earthquake that hits Turkey on Monday.

As reported by CNN, the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that shook Turkey-Syria claimed the lives of approximately 15,383 people, including one Valorant ladies player.

The professional player who died is Gizem 'Luie' Harmankaya from the Unknown Pros team. Luie reportedly died as a result of being trapped in a collapsed building.

Gizem Harmankaya lived in Kahramanmaras, one of the areas affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake some time ago.

"Unfortunately, we lost our former player Gizem Harmankaya," Unknown Pros wrote on Twitter. "Our condolences to his family and fans. Rest in peace."

Having played with Unknown Pros since April 22, 2022, Luie had given his best shot in many devastating matches. Unfortunately, a tragic fate ultimately befell the female champion.

Riot Games and Valorant Turkey also expressed their condolences for the Turkish earthquake and expressed sorrow for the victims who died.

"Our hearts mourn the loss of so many people. We hope that all rescue teams on the ground can get to the victims as quickly as possible," Riot Games said.

"We also share our deepest sympathies with everyone affected by the earthquake," wrote the Valorant Turkey account, as quoted by Dot Esports.

Rest in peace to those who were affected by the incident. Hopefully, the situation in Turkey goes better quickly.
