Farrand "Koala" Kowara Revealed DPC SEA Next Season's Slot Price

In a recent podcast, Dimas "Dejet”, an Indonesian shoutcaster, has invited Army Geniuses’ team manager. The talk revealed the cost of one slot in the DPC SEA region! How much is it? it’s worth more than $100 thousand!

In this episode of the podcast which lasts approximately 20 minutes, Farand "Koala" Kowara, opens up about the upcoming team which is currently called "The Next Indonesian Finest Team". The podcast started with the talk about the Filipino superstar, Yuri "Yowe" Pacaña, to their plan to buy a slot owned by RSG.

Dimas “Dejet” asked how Army Geniuses were doing, before switching Muhammad “InYourdreaM” Rizky who was originally a midlaner to a hard carry, and becoming the roster as it is now.

Farand "Koala" Kowara revealed that Army Geniuses were going to play five-man-Indonesian again, even though they failed in the last three seasons. They were going to recruit Syaid "woMy" M. Reski, the offlaner who recently won the IESF WEC 2022 Dota 2 branch.

But, fate had other plans where Army Geniuses had great success during BTS Pro Series Season 13, where they finished 3rd Place after losing to a strong team from the Philippines, Execration.

Yowe played for the team in that tournament. Because of the good results, the management decided not to recruit woMy and scrapped the plan to make a five-man-Indonesian-team.

Then, the topic moved on to Army Geniuses' plans to buy RSG's DPC slot. Kowara revealed that Army Geniuses actually offered around $60 thousand to them, but lost the bid to Blacklist International which offered an unreasonable price of more than $100 thousand. Because of it, they had to settle for DPC SEA Division II in the next season.

What do you think? Does Army Geniuses have a chance to compete on the big stage of Dota 2’s competitive scene?
