Number of Indonesian Esports Athletes Participating in the 2023 SEA Games

In order to repeat the success achieved in the previous year, the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PBESI) acted quickly by announcing the total number of national team athletes leaving for the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

The Indonesian Esports National Team has reached the final stage of the National Selection (Seleknas) process, which will continue towards National Training (Pelatnas) before leaving for Cambodia in May 2023.

Previously, PBESI's social media accounts have announced the names of athletes selected to take part in the Seleknas. Many famous names are competing for the opportunity to defend the country at the biggest sports party in Southeast Asia.

Of the 102 athletes who took part in the Seleknas, PBESI will take 48 selected esports athletes who will travel to Cambodia. This number will be divided into 6 divisions followed by the Indonesian National Team at the 2023 SEA Games.

The divisions are Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Men and Women), PUBGM (Squad and Solo), Valorant, and Cross Fire. The six divisions were chosen because they are considered to have a great opportunity to win a gold medal.

Here are the number of Indonesian esports athletes per division who will go to the 2023 SEA Games:

- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Men): 7 athletes

- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Women): 7 athletes

- PUBGM Solo: 10 athletes

- PUBGM Squad: 10 athletes

- VALORANT: 7 athletes

- Cross Fire: 7 athletes

Later, the 48 selected athletes will undergo a special training to hone their chemistry, skills and mentality, before they are sent to Cambodia to bring Indonesia to the highest peak in the esports branch in Southeast Asia.
