Team UK is PNC 2022 Champion!

On sunday, June 19, Team UK (United Kingdom) officially crowned as PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) 2022 champion, after defeating 15 other rosters at the ICONSIAM, Bangkok, Thailand. The team’s roster is consisted of:

  • Alex "vard" Gouge,
  • Christopher "Fexx" Wheddon,
  • Luke "TeaBone" Crafer,
  • Michael "mykLe" Wake,

They won first place with a total of 203 points and claimed $100k after 4 days of war. The team will also receive additional rewards from the Pick-em Challenge for this. Following team UK, the rest of the $500k prize pool went to team Vietnam, Brazil, and South Korea who claimed $58k, $54k, and $44k respectively.

Team UK kicked the tournament off with a strong start where they secured the second win of Day 1. Of course, that pretty much put a target on their backs. However, it didn’t bother them that much and got an impressive second place finish with a total kill points which recorded as the highest kill count of the day.

After that, the team continued strong, where they picked another win on day 2 that ensured their path for the title. Followed by day 3 which ended with a total of 40 elimination points and one win.

While on the final day, the team kept their strong performance until the end. In addition to winning the championship, Vard was named MVP with his amazing number of kill points throughout the tournament.

The PNC 2022 that was held from June 16-19, also marked the return of the in-person event since the pandemic era. Unlike your typical PUBG Tournament, the PNC 2022 featured 64 players from 16 teams that came from Europe, Asia, Asia Pacific, and America.
