PSG.LGD and Team Aster are confirmed to be 2 of the 4 Chinese representatives that will compete in Bali Major 2023, a Major Dota 2 tournament before going to The International 12.
Previously, Tundra Esports first secured a spot in Bali Major 2023 through the Western Europe (WEU) region, which performed very dominantly in the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 3: Division 1. The absolute victory over OG and Team Liquid proved that Tundra deserved to appear in Bali Major 2023.
This time, it's the turn of the China region that has confirmed two teams heading to Bali. The two teams are PSG.LGD and Team Aster, who have been regularly appearing at The International lately.
Interestingly, the two teams both won 5 wins from 5 matches so that they were entitled to rank 1 together in DPC CN 2023 Tour 3: Division 1, although there are still 2 more matches left until June 4. These two teams also just met on the last day, to decide who deserves to be at the top of the standings.
For PSG.LGD, this result is a big improvement after stumbling at the Berlin Major 2023, where they went home on the first day of the Playoffs. PSG.LGD with a fresh roster does need additional motivation to maintain their position in The International DPC.
Meanwhile, Team Aster's qualification for Bali Major 2023 is a special achievement for SumaiL, the "King of Mid Lane" who has not appeared in a Major tournament for four years.
Indonesian Dota 2 fans will witness the amazing performance that PSG.LGD and Team Aster will show as the representatives from China. Unfortunately, the Bali Major 2023 tickets have sold out in just a matter of hours.
