The duet of Anathan “ana” Pham and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen brought T1 back to their winning streak after defeating The strong Philippines rep, Execration (XctN) at TI11 Regional Qualifiers SEA. 

The opening match of T1 has become one of the most awaited matches by fans, since this is the debut match of the ex-OG duo, Ana and Topson after entering the main T1 squad some time ago.

Because of that, of course high expectations became one of the main pressures for the captain Carlo “Kuku” Palad, and the support duo from Indonesia, Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon and Kenny “Xepher” Deo.

It is clear that many new fans are in love with T1 after the two Aegis of Immortality holders joining the team. This also makes the public wonder if they can help T1 out of the pit of adversity, after failing to enter the last major.

Fortunately, the question was answered with the best result where T1 succeeded in defeating XctN 2-0 in the first game with an OG-like strategy which was very flexible in drafting.

The first game is full of plot twists and T1 does look different. Ana's position was changed to the bottom lane and became an offlaner with hero Marci, while Topson played one of his signature heroes, Morphling in the mid.

The effectiveness of all T1 players makes the game look very unbalanced because they managed to dominate every XctN line-up. T1 took advantage of the situation to continue attacking their opponent and finally pocketed the first game.

The second game became more exciting, since XctN seems to have learned from the previous game and plays more aggressively. They continued to invite T1 to a teamfight from the beginning of the match. But, T1 managed to end the game in minute 52, closing the match with a final score of 2-0.
