The International 2022: China Qualifier has finally started and many predicted it to be a bloody battle arena. Only three tickets are available, which means only the top three teams will fly to Singapore in mid-October to fight for the Aegis of Immortality trophy.
There are several Dota 2 veteran names that we will be able to see in China's Regional Qualifier, such as: Lu “Somnus” Yao, Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun, and Xu “fy” Linsen. They are ready to give their best performance to get a slot in The International 11.
Of course, this caught the attention of most Dota 2 fans around the world, considering China's top teams in recent years have not been in the spotlight due to the COVID-19 restrictions. As a result, they failed to get to the Stockholm Major 2022 and several other LAN events.
A lot of fans, of course, miss the typical gameplay of Chinese teams that are full of unique and mind blowing strategies. Even so, teams from China have one thing in common that is very prominent, namely discipline.
A total of 13 teams will face each other between September 8 and 12, 2022. The winner of this tournament will get a direct pass to the main event with LGD.PSG and Team Aster. While the other two top teams will also fly to Singapore for the Final Chance Qualifier.
The last time a China team won The International was back in 2016. After that, they haven’t won any but still managed to get into the top positions of the tournament. Do you think one of them will get the trophy this year?
